Joel Reuter - Bleacher Report - September 4th: "Injuries limited McPherson to 43 innings during the 2026 season, but he logged a 3.56 ERA with 51 strikeouts when healthy and flashed significant upside looking ahead to his junior campaign. With a strong 6'3", 205-pound frame, a fastball that touches 99 mph and good command of his secondary stuff, he could be one of the breakout stars of the 2027 season."

It's a pitch that sits 94-97 and has been up to 99 with both carry and tailing life. It may be a pitch McPherson will have to extract more value out of moving forward."
