Malachi Butler - Prospect Profile

Joel Reuter - Bleacher Report - September 4th: "One of the more polished hitters in the 2027 prep class, Butler is an average athlete, but there are no glaring holes in his game. He plays a smooth, sure-handed shortstop, hits the ball to all fields and has enough physical projection remaining in his 6'3", 190-pound frame to believe there could be more power to come."

Prospect Porch - September 2nd: "Butler can have his flashes where he looks like an above-average defensive shortstop at the next level, with good lateral range and smooth transfers. The worst case scenario is that he'll have to shift over to second or third base as he continues to mature into his frame."
