Joel Reuter - Bleacher Report - September 4th: "A first-team All-American as the Longhorns closer as a freshman, Volantis moved into the rotation as a sophomore and earned first-team honors for a second straight year. The 6'6" southpaw went 10-2 with a 2.08 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 135 strikeouts in 95 innings, and his stuff plays up thanks to some funk in his delivery."
