Joel Reuter - Bleacher Report - September 4th: "Salerno is the consensus top high school pitcher in the 2027 class, and slotting somewhere in the middle of the first round, it was only right to mock him to the Padres to fill their favorite demographic. The 6'4", 225-pound lefty has a great mix of stuff and pitchability, and his high-spin fastball was already touching 98 mph as a junior."

It's an up-tempo pace on the hill with a clean, repeatable delivery. Salerno will tickle 98 mph with the fastball and will live in the low-to-mid 90s on a regular basis coming from a lower-than-average slot."
