Baseball America - July 8th: "An ankle injury cost him playing time early in 2026, but he exploded with the bat upon his return and hit .417/.491/.646 with six home runs and 24 stolen bases in 36 games to catapult himself into first-round consideration. That production included a .390 average in conference play, fifth-best in the ACC."

Prospects 1500 - July 8th: "Rose has bat speed and contact rates that nearly match his speed down the baseline. An established college hitter, he needs to work on chase rate and the weak contact those swings produce."

MLB -July : "Rose is a physical right-handed hitter whose bat speed and strength produce high exit velocities and power that plays from foul pole to foul pole. He has advanced bat-to-ball skills, though his tendency to chase pitches cuts into his walk totals and leads to more groundball contact than is desired."

Keith Law - The Athletic - July 1st: "Rose can flat-out hit, and if he hadn’t missed almost half of the spring with an ankle injury, I think he’d be a top 15 pick. The Louisville junior hit .417/.491/.646 in 36 games — nearly all of it in ACC play — after returning from the injury, moving between center field and left field. He looked better in center than expected, though the corner is still the more likely outcome."
