Tyler Head - Prospect Profile

Baseball America - July 8th: "Despite hitting under .300 in both of his college seasons, Head—a 6-foot-3, 205-pound lefthanded hitter­—has exciting pure hitting traits. He has excellent barrel feel and contact skills, with an 88% contact rate and 91% in-zone contact rate in 2026. Both figures stack up with some of the better pure hitters in the college class."

MLB -July : "Head has a selectively aggressive approach and does a masterful job of controlling the zone, attacking strikes while avoiding chasing wayward pitches. He rarely swings and misses, especially against fastballs or any type of strike, but his big leg kick throws the timing of his left-handed swing off and leads to suboptimal contact."

Keith Law - The Athletic - July 1st: "He’s a definite center fielder with exceptional plate discipline in almost every aspect. He probably needs to swing the bat more to be a regular, but also to change his whole setup and swing for more impact when the bat meets the ball."
