Ht/Wt: 6' 1"/180 lbs
Position: SS
Team: Kentucky

Tyler Bell - Prospect Profile

Baseball America - July 8th: "Bell injured his shoulder in the first game of 2026 and missed a month, but he turned in a career season and hit .343/.510/.608 in 41 games after getting back on the field. Bell is a lean switch-hitter with a 6-foot-1, 190-pound frame and a patient, selective approach. He’s shown a savvy batting eye since his prep days and rarely expands the strike zone, with excellent swing decisions and decent contact skills."

Prospects 1500 - July 8th: "He has a polished bat with great approach from both sides of the plate and will provide defensive versatility."

MLB -July : "A switch-hitter, Bell is proficient from both sides of the plate. He has the bat speed and strength to generate 20 homers per season once he learns to lift balls in the air more consistently. He has a decent approach at the plate but can get too passive at times and has trouble staying back on changeups."

Keith Law - The Athletic - July 1st: "Bell was one of the best hitters in the SEC this year with a .352/.517/.602 line heading into the conference tournament; he’d be leading the conference in OBP if he had enough PA to qualify. He’s a very disciplined hitter, with a chase rate of 13.5 percent during the regular season, and still shows above-average power with plenty of hard contact, including a 90th percentile EV of 105.5 mph that puts him in the top 20 percent of batters."
