Sean Duncan - Prospect Profile

Baseball America - July 8th: "Duncan is a projectable lefthander with high-probability starting traits built around his advanced strike-throwing. He’s the top Canadian prospect in the class and turns 18 just two months before the draft. Duncan has a lean frame at 6-foot-3, 180 pounds and throws with a free-and-easy delivery. There’s some length to his arm action, but he repeats his three-quarters arm slot and lands with a balanced, athletic finish."

MLB -July : "A projectable 6-foot-3 lefty, Duncan has shown steady progress stuff-wise while being in front of scouts a lot since age 14 pitching for Canada’s junior national team. He was sitting around 88-89 mph with his fastball then and kind hovered in that range, with scouts waiting for a leap forward. It’s possible that started to happen at the Futures Showcase, when he was up to 95 mph -- sitting 93 -- with his heater."

Keith Law - The Athletic - July 1st: "An athletic three-pitch lefty who has a plus changeup now and can spin the ball well, Duncan has shown some real competitiveness even pitching against pro hitters during spring training trips with Team Canada this year. He throws strikes, has a good delivery and enough feel to foresee a plus breaking ball."
