Sawyer Strosnider - Prospect Profile

Baseball America - July 8th: "Strosnider is a 6-foot-2, 205-pound lefthanded hitter overflowing with athleticism and plus tools. He has a clean swing and excellent bat speed that allows him to generate easy plus raw power and towering home runs. His contact skills have been good enough for him to maintain sub-20% strikeout rates in college, both in and out of conference play."

Prospects 1500 - July 8th: "Chases were down and walks were up which will give him more opportunities to face challenge pitches and show off his power with the bat. Strosnider’s OPS has been over 1000 in both Big 12 seasons."

MLB -July : "He has a gorgeous left-handed swing and makes consistent in-zone contact, but questions still persist about his bat because he chases all types of pitches out of the zone, resulting in too many grounders. While he does much more damage against right-handers, he is showing more pop and drawing more walks against southpaws this spring."

Keith Law - The Athletic - July 1st: "There’s some bad luck baked in here, but it’s also indicative of the fact that he needs to lift the ball more to turn more of those screaming line drives into extra-base hits. It’s the kind of adjustment many MLB teams, notably the Dodgers, have shown they can make with hitters who have these underlying traits. It’s a corner outfield profile so he has to hit; I think he’s still good value in the back half of the first."
