Logan Schmidt - Prospect Profile

Baseball America - July 8th: "After touching 97 mph on the 2025 circuit, Schmidt pushed his fastball up to 98 during his senior spring season and was consistently throwing the pitch in the mid 90s. He attacks the zone with his fastball and can locate it to both sides of the plate to get ahead in counts and set up his secondaries."

MLB -July : "There isn’t a ton of deception with the pitch right now, so it can get hit at times. He backs up the heater with a 78-81 mph slider that features three-quarters shape to it, a breaker that can disappear, miss a lot of bats and flashes plus. There’s feel for a changeup, too, which he sells well with arm speed out front."

Keith Law - The Athletic - July 1st: "Schmidt is up to 96 on his four-seamer with a sharp sweeper/slider in the mid-80s, while also showing a high-70s curveball, sinker, cutter and changeup. He threw a gem in the California state semifinals for Ganesha, then closed out the championship game (after some controversy over whether Ganesha’s coach and several star players were even going to be at that contest), sitting 94-96 in both outings in late May."
