Joel Reuter - Bleacher Report - August 20th: "The 6'5", 215-pound slugger has some of the best raw power in the draft class with the discipline and bat-to-ball skills to make the most of it at the next level. He has also been up to 94 mph on the mound with the makings of two good offspeed pitches, but his future is likely as a hitter."

Jonathan Mayo - MLB - July 17th: "A multisport athlete with a big 6-foot-5 frame, Roberts is primarily a hitter now, one with huge raw power from the right side of the plate and excellent athleticism. His easily plus arm works well from the outfield and pumps fastballs up into the mid-90s from the mound."
