Baseball America - July 8th: "Advincula has an average frame at 6-foot-2, 195 pounds, but he employs an ultra-crouched setup and a slash-and-dash approach. His offensive game is built around making contact, and he has excelled at doing that for three years, with a 7.5% career strikeout rate, 89% overall contact rate and 93% in-zone contact rate. Like many elite contact hitters, Advincula has an aggressive approach and expands the zone often because he can get away with it."

MLB -July : "Advincula is a master of reading defenses and using his short left-handed swing to slap balls through holes for hits. His bat-to-ball skills can work against him at times because he does chase pitches out of the zone, leading to suboptimal contact and cutting into his walk totals."

Keith Law - The Athletic - July 1st: "It’s a flat swing and he’s hitting the ball on the ground too often, 53.6 percent on the season and 55.6 percent in conference, although he’d probably show average power if he got any loft in his finish. He’s a 70 runner and an above-average defender at second. "
