Baseball America - July 8th: "Grindlinger is a 6-foot-3, 185-pound lefthander who has been up to 96 mph but mostly pitched in the 90-94 range this spring. He has impressive feel for a pair of secondaries that have both flashed above-average potential. The first is a slider around 80 mph that he has the ability to manipulate."

Prospects 1500 - July 8th: "I have seen some reports saying he is better on the mound while others see him as a better fit in the outfield."

MLB -July : "His present stuff doesn't jump off the page, but it's very easy to dream on a lot more to come as he fills out his 6-foot-3 frame. His fastball has been clocked up to 95 mph at times -- touching 96 mph last summer -- but he typically sits around 90-93 mph, with good arm speed and strength that some scouts think points to a future plus heater."

Keith Law - The Athletic - July 1st: "He’s still almost all projection at this point, and the bat speed isn’t great yet, but the ball carries well already and he’s likely to come into real power as he fills out. He has arm strength with a potentially plus slider but the delivery needs work, as he’s off the rubber very quickly and tends to spin off his front heel after he lands. He has all of the risk of a teenaged arm — more, really, as he’s younger than any other pitching prospect in the class."
