Baseball America - July 8th: "Booth Jr. is a lefthanded hitter with an unconventional swing. He stands upright, relaxed and open but holds his hands out and away from his body at about chin height. He then has a significant hand press, and his bat path often gets choppy through the zone with a flat finish."

Prospects 1500 - July 8th: "Booth presents a strong power/speed combo to become an everyday center fielder. His 6.27 60-yard dash gives their lineup an athletic component to cause chaos on the basepaths."

MLB -July : "Booth has an unconventional setup and pumps his hands away from his body, sometimes leaving him with a choppy-looking left-handed stroke. He nevertheless makes consistent contact and barrels balls while displaying a good sense of the strike zone. His bat speed and strength translate into impressive exit velocities and could result in 20-25 homers per year if he smooths out his stroke and launches balls in the air more regularly."

Keith Law - The Athletic - July 1st: "He’s very upright at the plate and doesn’t bend his knees or rotate his hips that well, spinning off his front heel through contact so that his lead foot is pointing towards the pitcher (or further), so while he looks like he should have above-average power, it’s not showing up in games. He’s a supreme athlete who has bat-to-ball skills, which is both rare in the draft and also extremely coveted by teams who want long-term upside, but he needs an organization that can help him find a setup and swing that makes the most of his physical gifts."
