Jim Callis - MLB - September 16th: "New Jersey prep shortstop Nick Becker went in the second round to the Mariners in July and his older brother could go even higher next year. Eric has a similar profile as an offensive-minded infielder -- he hit .368/.453/.617 as a sophomore -- though he may fit better at second or third base than shortstop."

Joel Reuter - Bleacher Report - August 20th: "Becker hit .368/.453/.617 with 31 extra-base hits in 50 games as Virginia's starting shortstop this spring, and he manned third base for the Collegiate National Team this summer, sharing the left side of the infield with UCLA shortstop Roch Cholowsky. He has a contact-over-power approach, but he also posted some of the best batted-ball metrics in the country in 2025, so a power surge could be coming in his junior year."
