Baseball America - July 8th: "At 6-foot-3, 190 pounds, Becker has a loose and easy operation at the plate. He has a clean left-handed swing that goes directly to the ball and leads to line-drive contact all over the field. Becker has above-average contact skills and has never punched out at a worrying clip, but he’s also a touch aggressive and has a modest 9.3% career walk rate. "

Prospects 1500 - July 8th: "A college bat that has the knack to always get on-base. Becker shows great maturity at the plate with a low K-rate and above-average OPS. "

MLB -July : "He's hit over power as of now, with a solid approach, excellent bat-to-ball skills and limited chase. There could be more impact in there, which could raise his profile, though right now he's content to hunt for base hits with a simple swing."

Keith Law - The Athletic - July 1st: "He’s not a shortstop — not only does he lack the range to be a pro shortstop, but he’s not even a good defender for a college shortstop — and should move immediately to second base, where he has the instincts and hands but may still have to work to be a solid-average defender. I see a 60 hit tool here, and maybe a little more power if a pro team gets him to lift the ball more."
