Drew Burress - Prospect Profile

Baseball America - July 8th: "In 2026, he topped Jason Varitek’s 57 career home runs to become Georgia Tech’s all-time home run leader, doing it in three seasons rather than Varitek’s four. Burress is a career .357/.484/.720 hitter with 60 home runs and 60 doubles. He is an undersized righthanded hitter at 5-foot-9, 185 pounds, but he packs a punch with impressive bat speed and a pull-heavy offensive approach."

Prospects 1500 - July 8th: "Burress is the second half of the Yellow Jackets’ monster tandem. There’s nothing extraordinary, but the high-level fundamentals do the talking: a .358 batting average and a strong arm from a corner outfield spot that will make baserunners think twice about turning the corner."

MLB -July : "Though he's shorter than his listed 5-foot-9 and lacks projection, Burress has solid or better tools across the board. He has a compact and quick right-handed swing, plenty of strength, a disciplined approach at the plate and plus power that plays to all fields."
