Daniel Jackson - Prospect Profile
Baseball America - July 8th: "Jackson added notable strength in 2026 and creates impressive power and leverage with his righthanded swing. He has easy all-fields power and has made strides with his pure hitting ability, though there are still hit and contact questions he’ll need to answer. Despite his batting average and strikeout rate, Jackson’s 72% contact rate is below-average."MLB -July : "Jackson is extremely strong and hits the ball extremely hard from the right side of the plate, looking like a taller version of Tyler O'Neill. He has demonstrated a selective approach throughout his college career and is doing a much better job this year of making contact, both against velocity and against non-fastballs."
Keith Law - The Athletic - July 1st: "The hit tool is dicier here, as he swings very hard with the consequence of a fair bit of miss — he struck out 64 times this year, whiffing on 19.2 percent of pitches in the zone, 27.6 percent overall. His receiving and blocking are well below average; prior to this year he wasn’t a full-time catcher, so perhaps he could improve with more reps, but he has a long way to go."
