Chase Brunson - Prospect Profile

Baseball America - July 8th: "Brunson has a strong, athletic frame at 6-foot-3, 210 pounds and a well-rounded toolset. He has solid rhythm in the box and takes a closed-off stride with intent to use the entire field. Brunson is a patient hitter who makes a ton of contact within the zone, but he can get overly passive at times and let too many hittable middle-middle pitches go by."

MLB -July : "A steady if unspectacular hitter, Brunson reached base in his first 43 games as a sophomore in 2025. He's an aggressive swinger but makes consistent contact and drills line drives from gap to gap. He translates the strength in his 6-foot-3, 200-pound frame into high-end exit velocities and 20-homer power that plays to all fields."

Keith Law - The Athletic - July 1st: "Brunson is a toolsy center fielder with 20/20 upside, maybe even more than that in the power department. He recognizes offspeed stuff well, actually hitting better against non-fastballs this year. His bat speed is just fair, and he hasn’t done as well with better velocity this spring in a small sample — he saw 52 fastballs at 95+ and whiffed on 32 percent of his swings."
