Cameron Flukey - Prospect Profile
Baseball America - July 8th: "At his best, Flukey is a standout strike-thrower with a high-probability starter profile. He’s a 6-foot-6, gangly righthander with a lean and projectable frame, and he throws with a high-maintenance delivery that features a high leg kick, lengthy arm stroke and aggressive trunk tilt in his finish. Flukey’s fastball is a 95-96 mph four-seamer that touches 99 with above-average riding life."Prospects 1500 - July 8th: "A pre-season All-American, Flukey struggled with a rib cage/core injury for most of the 2025 season. His last full season in 2025, Cameron posted a 3.19 ERA with 118 strikeouts over 101.2 innings while helping the Chanticleers reach the College World Series."
MLB -July : "Flukey maintains mid-90s velocity on his heater deep into games and tops out at 98 mph with armside run and carry. His high three-quarters arm slot allows him to stay on top of his upper-70s curveball, which has so much downer break that it can be hard to keep it in the strike zone, and his feel for spin also extends to a solid 82-85 mph slider."
Keith Law - The Athletic - July 1st: "He doesn’t use a changeup or splitter; he had a sizable platoon split in 2025, giving up five of his six homers to lefties, but basically none in a small sample this year. He projects as a mid-rotation starter, but perhaps needs a more effective fastball and/or a real change-of-pace pitch to be more than that."
