Caden Sorrell - Prospect Profile

Jim Callis - MLB - September 16th: "Both of Sorrell's grandfathers (Billy Sorrell, Tom Griffin) played in the big leagues and Caden has the all-around ability to do so as well. He slashed .337/.430/.789 with 12 homers in 26 games while dealing with hamstring and hamate injuries last spring, displaying plus power, speed and arm strength when he was fully healthy."

Joel Reuter - Bleacher Report - August 20th: "Sorrell made an impact as a true freshman on a really good Texas A&M team, posting a .924 OPS with 11 home runs and 43 RBI in 62 games. Injuries limited him to just 26 games last year, but he hit .337/.430/.789 with 12 home runs in 114 plate appearances. He is capable of making a sizable leap up draft boards with a healthy junior campaign."

Baseball America - July 16th: "While it was across a limited sample, Sorrell’s hit tool took a bit of a step in the right direction as he improved his contact rates and lowered his chase rates. There’s still some whiff and chase, particularly against secondaries, but he fares well against heaters."
