Caden Sorrell - Prospect Profile

Baseball America - July 8th: "He got a fully healthy draft season in 2026 and slashed .341/.434/.743 with 23 home runs and 11 stolen bases. Sorrell is a well-proportioned lefthanded hitter with a 6-foot-3, 205-pound frame and a quick swing with natural leverage and an uphill path. He has plus raw power and has shown a knack for getting to that power in games, especially against pitches at the bottom of the zone or on the inner third."

Prospects 1500 - July 8th: "Others feel he can definitely stay in center. I don’t like his reads but, while there are still holes in the swing, the bat really came alive this year and turned him into one of the premier college bats in the country."

MLB -July : "Sorrell has the bat speed and strength to provide plenty of power and that's exactly what he tries to do, focusing on launching balls in the air to his pull side. That approach can get him in trouble, as his left-handed stroke becomes too long and uphill at times, but it also could pay off with 25-30 homers per season."

Keith Law - The Athletic - July 1st: "He missed more than half of the 2025 season with a hamstring injury and hasn’t played anywhere the last two summers where he could be scouted and measured while hitting with wood. He’s a solid defender in center and would probably end up plus in right field if he moves back there in pro ball, but he has to hit and his history of touching the ball is not good."
