Joel Reuter - Bleacher Report - August 20th: "With a strong 6'5", 235-pound frame, tantalizing raw power and good athleticism for his size, Bogenpohl has the potential to fly up draft boards next spring. He has a 1.046 OPS with 33 home runs in 110 games during his first two years on campus, though questions remain about his hit tool after he whiffed 63 times in 54 games in 2025."

Jonathan Mayo - MLB - July 17th: "Bogenpohl has hit 33 homers in his first two seasons at Missouri State, and he provides some of the loudest contact and highest exit velocities in the class. It comes with some swing-and-miss concerns (25.8 percent K rate over those two years), giving a bit of a Jace LaViolette vibe."

Baseball America - July 16th: "Bogenpohl followed suit with a similarly productive sophomore campaign in which he hit .296/.449/.558 with 15 doubles and 13 home runs. His hit tool and contact ability are his two biggest question marks, but Bogenpohl has as tantalizing a toolset as any player in the class."
