Ben Blair - Prospect Profile
Baseball America - July 8th: "In 2026, the 6-foot-3, 200-pound righty posted a 3.53 ERA over 16 starts and 94.1 innings, with a career-high 28.9% strikeout rate and career-low 4.3% walk rate. Blair has an uptempo delivery on the mound and attacks hitters from a super low arm slot that is almost fully sidearm. That release point helps him create a ton of natural running life on a fastball that averages 94-95 mph and has been up to 98."
MLB -July : "Blair offers an intriguing combination of funk, deception, stuff and command, with as many as five pitches to choose from. He’ll throw both a four-seam, with decent run to the glove side, and a two-seam with sink to the arm side, firing his fastball up to 97 mph."
Keith Law - The Athletic - July 1st: "His fastball is a consistent 94-96, and he has a 55 slider that has some tilt to it and a short upper-80s cutter as his third pitch, with a decent changeup he flips in occasionally to lefties. He tends to live up in the zone, which has worked because of the delivery and the low slot, although I always worry guys like this will end up too homer-prone to start."
