Wehiwa Aloy - Prospect Profile
Kiley McDaniel - ESPN - July 8th: "I don't think Aloy is that far behind Arquette, and they might be a fun duo to track going forward because every team I've asked has them ranked this way, but the margins between them as players are very small."MLB.com - July 1st: "Aloy's power is notable for a legitimate middle infielder as he has plus raw juice that plays to all fields but mostly to his pull side. His combination of bat speed and strength produces impressive exit velocities, and he's doing a better job of letting his pop come naturally as a junior."
Keith Law - The Athletic - July 1st: "He struck out 20.4 percent of the time this year, as he does chase pitches out of the zone, even those well out of the zone, at a higher-than-average rate. His main issue has been on breaking stuff, even when it’s coming from left-handers. He has a sizable leg kick and gets his front foot down late, after his hands have started, which could be one factor."
Baseball America - June 25th: "Power is the loudest piece of Aloy’s offensive profile, and it allows him to drive the ball with authority to all fields with both metal and wood bats. His hit tool is still developing and needs more polish, but the strides he made in his second tour of the SEC were encouraging."
Tyler Jennings - Just Baseball - March 24th: "Aloy has seen an approach change and possesses serious thump to his pull side and a ton of strength throughout his frame. His power is his calling card, which grades out as above-average to plus thanks to incredible bat speed and rotational force in his swing."
A scout - Baseball America - March 10th: "I think he is a good enough defender to stay at SS with the arm for the position. Solid player and a safe play here, I think. He has shown he can be an average hitter at the next level. He is strong enough to get to above-average power."
