Sean Gamble
Ht/Wt: 6' 1"/188 lbs
Position: 2B/OF
Team: IMG Academy, Bradenton, Fla.

Sean Gamble - Prospect Profile

MLB.com - July 1st: "Gamble is a left-handed hitter who has a smooth and repeatable swing with a knack for finding the barrel, controlling the zone and doing damage to all fields. As he's gaining strength, he's showing more raw power and should continue to leverage the ball and get to more extra-base authority as he moves along."

Keith Law - The Athletic - July 1st: "Gamble is a 70 runner with above-average bat speed, probably needing to move to center field in pro ball, who’ll need some swing help to tap into more power. He’s more athlete than hitter right now, with a flatter swing that doesn’t loft the ball a ton, and he tends to open his front hip early so he doesn’t always square the ball up like he should."

Baseball America - June 25th: "He primarily played second base as a senior with IMG Academy but has the arm strength for the left side of the infield. Gamble has workmanlike actions in the infield and will need to improve his arm versatility to stick there. He also has plenty of exposure in the outfield, and there are plenty of scouts who think he looks more natural as a center fielder."

Tyler Jennings - Just Baseball - March 24th: "His hips explode open, allowing his hands to race through the zone with impressive barrel lag. He’s had exit velocities with wood up to 108 MPH in-game settings already this summer and given the frame, it wouldn’t be a shock to see higher numbers."

A scout - Baseball America - March 10th: "I like Gamble’s five-tool potential here. He has been playing a plus second base this spring, but ultimately he could move to center field. He does everything well and has a lot of 60s across the board."

Kiley McDaniel - ESPN - February 21st: "Gamble is moving up early this spring. Some scouts are comparing his athleticism to an NFL slot receiver, but he probably isn't a long-term shortstop."
