MLB.com - July 1st: "Snead owns one of the hottest fastballs in college baseball, usually dealing at 95-97 mph with the capability of reaching 101. His heater is more powerful than lively, featuring more sink than carry, so it can get whacked when he doesn't locate it well. His low-90s cutter has similar issues, and he has had more success retiring hitters this season with a much improved low-80s curveball."

Baseball America - June 25th: "He sits at 96 mph with his fastball and touches 101. Snead’s fastball is his signature pitch and generates impressive carry when kept up and sink when he lands the pitch down in the zone. His heater helped him generate a career-best 51% groundball rate in 2025, while a low-to-mid-80s curveball served as his best miss offering."
