Michael Oliveto - Prospect Profile

Kiley McDaniel - ESPN - July 8th: "Owens and Oliveto were both late risers who are big with plus raw power from the left side and have a shot to play a premium position but also haven't been high-profile summer performers for years like some others ranked around here."

MLB.com - July 1st: "Those who like Oliveto, especially those who saw him in Jupiter, see a future backstop who checks off the big left-handed-hitting catcher box. He's shown that he can find the barrel with a solid left-handed swing geared toward power. It's at least above-average raw power that some think he'll get to in the future, especially if he can become an average hitter. Others aren't as sold on the pure hit tool, though he turned around good competition at WWBA."

Baseball America - June 25th: "He has a calm and relaxed setup in the box, with great rhythm and a sound approach. His swing is loose and easy with a low finish and preset strength that leads to easy power to the pull side. As he continues to fill out and get closer to physical maturity, it would be easy to project above-average game power to all fields."
