Michael Lombardi - Prospect Profile

MLB.com - July 1st: "Lombardi has been unhittable this spring, with both his fastball and curveball generating some of the best in-zone swing-and-miss rates in NCAA Division I. His heater deals at 93-95 mph and reaches 97 with tremendous carry, as well as some armside run."

Keith Law - The Athletic - July 1st: "He’s up to 97 with tremendous carry and pairs it with a power curveball with sharp downward break, showing enough feel for a changeup to see a future starter. He walked 12.5 percent of batters faced this year, a little too high, although that may come down if he’s given one consistent role. It’s a big upside play on a mid-rotation or better arm."

Baseball America - June 25th: "He made plenty of contact as a hitter, where he slashed .273/.392/.453 and played all four infield spots plus center field as a junior, but his pro prospects are on the mound, where he struck out 73 batters over 42 innings in 2025. Lombardi added more than three ticks to his fastball in 2025 and now sits around 94 mph and has touched 97."
