Mason Neville - Prospect Profile

MLB.com - July 1st: "Neville has long intrigued scouts with his overall athleticism and offensive potential from the left side of the plate, reminding some from his high school days of a young Cody Bellinger. The raw power is very real, and a year after hitting 16 homers with a 33.5 percent strikeout rate, Neville has jumped up boards by greatly cutting down his swing-and-miss, allowing him to get to that pop even more consistently for the 26 homers that tied for the NCAA Division I home run title"

Keith Law - The Athletic - July 1st: "Neville is a 55 runner who projects to stay in center field, probably an above-average defender there as his reads on balls give him a little extra range beyond his pure foot speed. He has at least 60 power, as he’s produced contact over 110 mph several times, and the swing is geared to pull the ball in the air but also allows him to drive the ball the other way if the pitch is further away from him."

Baseball America - June 25th: "He has a crouched stance and wraps his bat slightly in his load with comfortably plus bat speed and does a nice job of creating leverage at contact. Neville hasn’t made any notable setup changes, but he has significantly improved his approach and contact rates."
