Mason Morris - Prospect Profile

MLB.com - July 1st: "Morris' best pitch is a low-90s cutter that dives at the plate, and hitters can't lay off it or make much contact against it. He also throws a solid upper-80s slider with similar shape, and while it's less devastating than his cutter, he does a better job of landing it for strikes."

Keith Law - The Athletic - July 1st: "He threw 54 2/3 innings this year in 19 relief appearances, never making a start, and would sit 95-97 with a plus slider and cutter that allowed him to get lefties out even without a changeup. It’s not a picture-perfect arm action but he repeats it well enough to project him to get to 45 or 50 control, and with this stuff that’s at least good enough to be a back-end starter."

Baseball America - June 25th: "His fastball made a significant jump in 2025. After averaging around 92 mph in 2024, Morris added four ticks of velocity this spring, sat at 96 mph and topped at 99. The pitch doesn’t miss a ton of bats, but it has solid riding life and some cut."
