MLB.com - July 1st: "Lodise has solid speed and the instincts to make good use of it on the bases. His baseball IQ also helps him make plays at shortstop, though his average range and arm strength make him better suited for second base at the next level."

Keith Law - The Athletic - July 1st: "He’s been much better against fastballs, whiffing 27 percent of the time on other pitches, but still doing enough damage to see him potentially getting to an average hit tool. He’ll go out as a shortstop but ends up at second base because his arm isn’t strong enough for the left side."

Baseball America - June 25th: "He was one of the better hitters in the conference along with his cousin Alex Lodise, a shortstop for Florida State. Despite Kyle Lodise’s power surge in 2025, many scouts expect him to be a hit-over-power bat at the next level. He’s a patient hitter who doesn’t expand the zone frequently but can get a bit passive on pitches in the middle of the zone."
