Kiley McDaniel - ESPN - July 8th: "Anderson's elbow surgery and slighter frame make some evaluators hesitate about his long-term ability to post 180-plus innings as a potential frontline starter. The other hesitation is he has more good, above-average stuff than truly standout plus or better stuff."

MLB.com - July 1st: "Anderson's fastball plays much better than its velocity (sitting 92-94 mph, touching 97) because it carries past bats up in the strike zone. He used an upper-70s downer curveball as his main breaking pitch as a freshman but now favors a high-spin mid-80s slider that has the makings of a plus offering."

Keith Law - The Athletic - July 1st: "Anderson is a very polished, competitive lefty who works with a true four-pitch mix, or five if you distinguish between the two fastballs, and he throws a ton of strikes with the whole arsenal. He’s 91-95, using four- and two-seamers, and leads with a plus changeup that has excellent deception and hard fading action, helping him attack hitters on both sides of the plate."br>
Baseball America - June 25th: "He has a simple delivery in which he starts with his shoulders almost square to the first base dugout. Anderson begins his motion with an extremely small sidestep that leads into a high leg lift. He has a short and compact arm action and attacks from a high three-quarters slot with above-average arm speed."

Tyler Jennings - Just Baseball - March 24th: "Anderson’s body is incredibly projectable and his arm is uber-quick, which points towards him throwing much harder in due time. For now, his fastball has sat in the low-90s consistently, touching 96 MPH, with exceptional carry upstairs, slight cut, and big extension, allowing the pitch to miss barrels at a high rate."
