MLB.com - July 1st: "He has a handsy swing from the left side of the plate that is capable of making extremely loud contact, and he’s registering very high exit velocities this spring. He absolutely crushes fastballs, but he has a tendency to be a bit over-aggressive and chase pitches -- especially breaking stuff -- out of the zone, though some evaluators think that can be toned down."

Baseball America - June 25th: "Listed at 6-feet, 215 pounds, Gurevitch has an average build with strength in his lower half and a somewhat unique setup. He sits deep in his base and has a high handset with an operation that is generally easy and under control. Gurevitch simply knows how to hit."
