MLB.com - July 1st: "A left-handed hitter with plenty of bat speed and strength, he hits the ball extremely hard and generates power to all fields. He likes to swing the bat but has cut down on his chases this spring, makes consistent contact and has no problems handling breaking pitches."

Keith Law - The Athletic - July 1st: "Taylor’s lack of other tools — and I’d include bat speed, as his looks fine but not elite — has just raised the uncertainty around his performance. It’s going to be an issue going forward for any hitter outside of those two top conferences. If you buy the production and see him doing this against better pitching, it’s a first-round bat."

Baseball America - June 25th: "He’s a career .350/.459/.672 hitter who has homered at least 16 times each season and has more walks than strikeouts. Taylor has a physical build at 6-foot-1, 215 pounds. He has a simple setup in the box with a crouched stance and high handset."

Tyler Jennings - Just Baseball - March 24th: "There’s a good likelihood that Taylor will get some playing time in center field for the Hoosiers in 2025, though his average arm and speed, paired with his route running, likely relegates him to a future left field role."

A scout - Baseball America - March 10th: "This is a definite left field profile here with the below-average run tool, below-average glove and arm, but the bat is just too good. This is a plus bat for me. Hopefully he can get to average power."

Keith Law - The Athletic - March 4th: "Taylor’s an advanced hitter who doesn’t have a clear plus tool anywhere but does just about everything well at the plate, with 55 power, good swing decisions, and solid but not elite hard-contact data."
