Daniel Pierce
Ht/Wt: 6' 1"/180 lbs
Position: SS
Team: Mill Creek HS (GA)

Daniel Pierce - Prospect Profile

MLB.com - July 1st: "He has a history of producing against quality pitching in high school and on the showcase circuit, controlling the strike zone and not trying to swing for the fences. He has average raw power and should develop into a 15-homer threat as he continues to add muscle."

Keith Law - The Athletic - July 1st: "Pierce is a no-doubt shortstop with excellent feel to hit, boasting a smooth right-handed swing that has enough loft for line drives; where scouts diverge on him is what kind of power he might have in the future. He’s a 70 runner with a 70 arm and shows great instincts in the field, with no consideration that he’ll have to move off the position at any point."

Baseball America - June 25th: "Pierce is a gifted defender who has all the tools to stick at the position and become a plus fielder. He moves well laterally and glides around the dirt with great range and the sort of fluidity and easy actions seen in major league middle infielders. His hands are deft and reliable and he has a plus arm that has drawn a few 70-grade reviews from scouts."

Tyler Jennings - Just Baseball - March 24th: "It’s a loud setup and load at the dish, featuring a ton of moving parts, but there’s a ton of twitch in his profile and his hips fire explosively at foot strike. For now, he’s a hit-over-power bat with little swing-and-miss to his game."

Kiley McDaniel - ESPN - February 21st: "Pierce is moving up in Georgia due to his above-to-plus hit, speed, defense and throwing tools along with standout athletic testing."
