Charles Davalan - Prospect Profile

MLB.com - July 1st: "A leadoff hitter with a sweet left-handed stroke, Davalan has a quality approach and rarely chases or swings-and-misses. He focuses on hitting the ball from gap to gap and has surprising strength for someone who stands at just 5-foot-9."

Keith Law - The Athletic - July 1st: "It’s not a short swing, however, and he gets his hands back enough to generate plenty of bat speed for hard contact, with a hard-hit rate of 47 percent this year and peak EV over 110. He can definitely play an above-average left field, with a handful of games in center this year and on the Cape last summer; if you think he’s a center fielder, he’s probably a top 15-20 pick."

Baseball America - June 25th: "Davalan is an advanced, well-rounded hitter who has a knack for finding the barrel. His 91% overall contact rate and 94% in-zone contact rate are some of the better marks in the college class. He doesn’t have standout raw power, but his contact ability and strength could be enough to supply 14-18 home runs a season."
