Andrew Fischer - Prospect Profile

MLB.com - July 1st: "He has been even more productive as a junior after toning down his approach and chasing pitches a lot less, and he also did a better job of handling sliders. Fischer could have helped his cause further by upgrading his defense at third base, but he has barely played there this spring."

Keith Law - The Athletic - July 1st: "It’s plus power for sure, but his top-end exit velocities aren’t elite; he gets more out of his power because his swing gets the ball in the air at a high enough angle to put the ball in the seats. He improved his approach substantially in 2025, cutting his chase rate from 28 percent to 19 percent, and his swing rate at pitches well out of the zone from 22 percent to just 10 percent."

Baseball America - June 25th: "A 6-foot-1, 210-pound first baseman and lefthanded hitter, Fischer is a bat-first prospect who has a strong blend of contact skills, on-base ability and power. He has a crouched setup in the box with a steep and uphill bat path that shows a clear intent to lift and pull the baseball."

Tyler Jennings - Just Baseball - March 24th: "He’s a physical left-handed bat with a ton of juice in the bat, most notably to his pull side. It’s a violent swing with natural loft, backspinning abilities, and bat speed, allowing Fischer to pull the ball in the air with dangerous intent."
