MLB.com - July 1st: "While the jury is still out in terms of which way the industry truly likes him, it did seem there was a slight lean toward his skills as a left-handed hitter and outfielder entering the spring season, though some struggles at the plate have possibly shifted the pendulum toward the mound more. Throughout the summer showcase circuit, Franco showed very good bat-to-ball skills."

Joe Doyle - Future Star Series - March 18th: "A legitimate two-way guy, we like Franco more as a bat for the time being. His bat speed and athleticism at first base really stand out. Franco has demonstrated the ability to stay in the box and hit tough lefty-lefty matchups, showcasing ferocious bat speed and intent for damage."

MLB.com - March 8th: "Throughout the summer showcase circuit, Franco showed very good bat-to-ball skills. It’s hit-over-power right now, but it’s easy to dream on the strength to come from natural leverage with his swing from his 6-foot-3 frame. He’s a sneaky good runner and his arm is plus from the outfield."

Aram Leighton - Just Baseball - February 15th: "Another intriguing high school prospect who reclassified to enter the draft a year earlier, Franco is a two-way talent who is a bit further ahead with the bat at this stage, but is also quite projectable on the mound. His swing is simple, compact and explosive, helping him handle velocity well and adjust to quality secondary stuff."
