Charlie Condon
Ht/Wt: 6' 6"/216 lbs
Position: 3B/OF
Team: Georgia

Charlie Condon - Prospect Profile

Joel Reuter - Bleacher Report - July 7th: "The Georgia star will likely be limited to a corner outfield spot, and there is some swing-and-miss to his game, but he hit .433/.556/1.009 with 100 hits, 20 doubles, 37 home runs and 78 RBI in 60 games this spring."

Ayrton Ostly - USA Today - July 4th: "Condon won the 2024 Golden Spikes Award given to the best amateur baseball player in the country. He was one of the top hitters in the country at Georgia this past year and led the NCAA in batting average (0.433) and home runs (37)."

Baseball America - July 1st: "A 6-foot-6, 216-pound righthanded hitter, Condon has a special blend of power and pure hitting ability. He has a chance for 70-grade raw power, with the ability to homer to all fields and some of the best top-end exit velocities in the class."

MLB.com - July 1st: "He has top-of-the-scale raw power that plays from foul pole to foul pole and his combination of bat speed, strength and leverage in his 6-foot-6 frame allows him to mishit balls yet still drive them out of the park. Despite his long arms, he keeps his right-handed swing relatively compact and controls the strike zone while repeatedly making loud contact against all types of pitching."

Prospects Live - May 29th: "He's improved his overall plate discipline and has posted excellent contact rates in 2024, hammering fastballs in particular. What has stood out in this spring is the uptick in athleticism and the defensive versatility."

Keith Law - The Athletic - May 22nd: "He has explosive bat speed and now gets the bat to the zone with more force behind it because he’s so direct to the ball once he loads his hands. It’s hard to imagine more power coming, but Condon’s a lean, wiry 6-foot-6 and could get quite a bit stronger in pro ball."

Kiley McDaniel - ESPN - May 8th: "Condon has a slight edge as the consensus best player in the draft class with vibes similar to Kris Bryant or Alec Bohm as a tall, right-handed hitting third baseman (or maybe outfielder, depending on how things break) with big raw power and a loud spring. Oh, and a pretty swing."
