Cam Caminiti
Ht/Wt: 6' 2"/205 lbs
Position: LHP
Team: Vanderbilt

Cam Caminiti - Prospect Profile

Carlos Collazo - Baseball America - March 18th: "The fact that he’ll be 17 on draft day and one of the youngest players in the class is a good start, as is a mid-90s fastball that has been up to 98 with excellent life and 70-grade potential. However, he’s more of a pronator than supinator and his breaking stuff remains inconsistent."

Joe Doyle - Future Star Series - March 18th: "Caminiti's feel for the mound, his operation, his athleticism and his bloodlines point to a future impact starter at the next level. He's got the high waist, the long, lean levers and the loose arm scouts like to see."

MLB.com - March 8th: "Caminiti has the potential to have four legitimate pitches in the future, with projection to all of them. He already throws plenty hard enough, with a fastball that can touch 95 mph, and scouts feel he could be averaging in the mid-90s by this spring. "

Kiley McDaniel - ESPN - February 23rd: "Caminiti is young for the class (reclassified in June) and is a legit pro prospect as an outfielder who is also in the mid-90s with above-average traits across the board as a pitcher. He'll be easy to see early in the season as half of baseball is in his backyard for the Cactus League."

Aram Leighton - Just Baseball - February 15th: "The best prep southpaw in the class, Caminiti sits in the low 90s with his fastball, running it up to 96 MPH with good life. His slight cross-body delivery creates difficult angles for hitters, but can also result in more misses to the arm side than he’d like."
