Braylon Doughty - Prospect Profile

Baseball America - July 1st: "While he’s a shorter righthander with a frame that is close to maxed out, he’s a sneaky good athlete who repeats his operation on the mound and throws from a fairly clean three-quarters slot. Doughty pitches in the low 90s and has been up to 96 mph, but scouts were impressed with his ability to hold 92-95 deep into his starts this spring."

MLB.com - July 1st: "While Doughty isn’t all that big at 6-foot-1, he is compact, strong and extremely athletic on the mound. He has a quick arm that fires fastballs up to 96-97 mph with life and solid command. He misses bats with it and even more so with his power low-80s curve, that tops 3,000 rpm and features tight break."

Ayrton Ostly - USA Today - July 4th: "Doughty makes up for his lack of size (6-foot-1) with a strong, athletic frame that translates to a commanding fastball, strong curveball, and solid slider."

Prospects Live - May 29th: "He's got a physical frame with a strong lower half and easy mechanics on the bump, as well as being able to mess with timing. The fastball features heavy armside movement in the low-90s, though he's run it up to 96 MPH with high spin rates and he pounds the zone with strikes."

Joe Doyle - Future Star Series - March 18th: "Doughty produces above average spin rates on his fastball, though it's a bit of a dead-zone shape and can get hit a bit when not commanded on the black or top rail. The breaking ball here is the real headline grabber, a 3000 rpm hammer that's been up to 87, consistently 84-85 with bat-missing shape."
