Wyatt Langford - Prospect Profile

MLB.com - May 19th: "Langford has five-tool potential. He can really hit, with excellent swing mechanics and a very good approach at the plate, one that helped him limit strikeouts while drawing walks. It also aided in his ability to tap into his considerable raw power, which some area scouts said is plus-plus."

Carlos Collazo - Baseball America - May 11th: "Langford is hitting .399/.538/.784 with 12 home runs and 15 doubles and even his 21.1% walk rate and 13.1% strikeout rate is similar to what Crews has done—in the same conference."

Jim Callis - MLB.com - May 4th: "Langford's .403/.543/.784 season has been overshadowed by Southeastern Conference rival Crews. He has proven himself at the college level, while high schoolers Jenkins and Clark offer the advantages of hitting left-handed and more realistically projecting as center fielders."

Kiley McDaniel - ESPN - May 3rd: "Langford has appeared to be a notch or two behind Crews (whose power I have given a 70 grade since he was in high school) in terms of raw juice, but the exit velocity data basically has them as equals. I also have a number of 70-grade or better run times from Langford this season and last, both on close plays at first or on a turn for an extra base hit."

Prospects Live - April: "Langford has done next to nothing to dissuade scouts and analysts on his potential for future impact at the next level. He’s got a shot to play centerfield while providing offensive thump. Langford checks a ton of live looks boxes, and even more once you dive into the numbers."
