Position: OF
Team: South Brunswick HS (NC)

Walker Jenkins - Prospect Profile

MLB.com - May 19th: "Jenkins is built to hit for power with a strong 6-foot-3 frame and a quick left-handed stroke. He already shows the ability to turn on quality fastballs and drive them out of the park to right field, and his pop extends to the opposite field as well."

Carlos Collazo - Baseball America - May 11th: "Jenkins has wowed scouts all spring and put himself in a position to be the first high school player selected. He’s been hitting for average and power, he has shown better run times and he is also showing that the center field defense is a real possibility."

Jim Callis - MLB.com - May 4th: "Hampered by a hamate injury on the showcase circuit last summer, Jenkins has looked great this spring. He owns solid or better tools across the board and huge power potential."

Kiley McDaniel - ESPN - May 3rd: "One scouting director told me he thought Jenkins' hit/approach/power combo (I'll call them 60, 60, and 70, respectively) was the best among preps since Bobby Witt Jr. in the 2019 draft. He fits inside the top half of the minor league top 100 once he signs."

Prospects Live - April: "Jenkins has the potential to hit for both average and power, which fits the Twin's mold. While he plays center field now, it's likely that he moves to right field once he fully matures physically, where his strong arm and defense can shine. He's also a very good runner and poses quite the threat on the base paths."
