Rhett Lowder
Ht/Wt: 6' 2"/200 lbs
Position: RHP
Team: Wake Forest

Rhett Lowder - Prospect Profile

MLB.com - May 19th: "Lowder owns one of the best changeups in college baseball, a plus mid-80s offering with significant fade that he'll use against both left-handers and right-handers. He sets it up with a 92-95 mph fastball that maxes out at 97 and features more sink than ride, so it elicits more ground balls than empty swings."

Carlos Collazo - Baseball America - May 11th: "He’s thrown at least five innings in 11 of his 12 starts and has allowed two runs or fewer in 10 of his 12 starts—with four runs allowed against Duke and three runs allowed against North Carolina State."

Jim Callis - MLB.com - May 4th: "Lowder appeals to teams who covet reliability, as he has posted eight quality starts in 11 outings while repeatedly working with a 92-95 mph fastball, plus changeup and plenty of strikes."

Kiley McDaniel - ESPN - May 3rd: "Lowder has come on strong of late with above-average-to-plus stuff and starter command."

Prospects Live - April: "He can run it up to 97 MPH and routinely sits in the low-90's with his heater and there's an average slider in the low-80's, but it's his plus change-up that's the highlight. It's got parachute-esque fade in the mid-80's that he's got excellent command of."
