Dylan Crews - Prospect Profile

MLB.com - May 19th: "Crews is a plus-plus hitter with plus power and some evaluators are even more bullish on his bat. He hits the ball as hard and as consistently as any collegian, thanks to a quick right-handed stroke, the strength and leverage in his 6-foot frame and a selectively aggressive approach"

Carlos Collazo - Baseball America - May 11th: "Crews has done everything expected of him throughout his LSU career and then some, and while he’s no longer flirting with a .500 season, he has either gotten a hit or a walk in all 48 games this season."

Jim Callis - MLB.com - May 4th: "Crews has held onto his preseason No. 1 prospect ranking by leading NCAA Division I in hitting (.486), on-base percentage (.633) and walks (49) while also displaying more speed and a better chance to stay in center field than he had in the past."

Kiley McDaniel - ESPN - May 3rd: "In terms of tools/projections, I see Crews as a 55 hitter with 70 raw power that he'll use almost all of in games (i.e. 30+ homers annually) due to at least plus pitch selection, meaning plus on-base percentages. He's the best prospect in the draft by a good margin right now, and he's ahead of everyone in last year's draft."

Prospects Live - April: "Regarding the question of who should be picked first overall, Dylan Crews has resoundingly answered it with his incredible start: a .510/.645/.882 slash with 9 homers, more than double the number of walks than strikeouts, and an average exit velocity around 100 mph. "
