Carlos Collazo - Baseball America - June 18: "Madden’s plus fastball doesn’t have elite movement to go with that velocity, which may limit which teams are most enamored with him. His heater is much more effective down in the zone than up—hitters hit .333/.350/.846 on his fastball when he spotted it in the upper third of the strike zone, but only .179/.179/.282 in the bottom third."

MLB - June: "Madden topped out at 95 mph in high school and now operates at 93-96 with sink and bore on his fastball after reaching 99 mph during the fall. His best offering at Cypress Ranch was his slider, which has gained velocity and arrives in the mid-80s with late bite."

Prospects Live - May 31: "A right handed power thrower up to 98 mph in the spring, touched 99 this fall. Madden has been fairly dominant this spring. Slider might be a plus offering at the next level. Curveball was seldom used in 2020, but has become a devastating punch out pitch in 2021 when commanded."
