Carlos Collazo - Baseball America - June 18: "A 6-foot-2, 210-pound backstop, Davis entered Louisville with a swing that was described as too steep, lengthy and stiff. He’s improved that significantly over three seasons, though his swing is still a bit unorthodox."

MLB - June: "While he doesn't have a pretty right-handed swing, Davis makes it work at the plate and has a higher offensive ceiling than most catchers. He recognizes pitches, manages the strike zone well and makes repeated hard contact, even if his stroke lengthens and he gets a bit pull-happy at times."

Prospects Live - May 31: "His best tool is an absolute cannon behind the plate, comfortably double-plus. He should stick at the position long-term thanks to good flexibility, and quick, athletic actions."
