MLB.com - May : "Boyle has the best arm strength in the 2020 Draft. His fastball reached 102 mph in the Northwoods League during the summer of 2018 and hit 101 at the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament and on the Cape in 2019. He can operate in the upper 90s for several innings at a time while getting riding action on his heater."

Athlon Sports - Mar. 10th: "He has thrown just 27.2 innings as a reliever, and he’s walked 35 batters, which explains his 6.83 ERA. But he has a 97-101 mph fastball and a developing slider."

Carlos Collazo - Baseball America - Jan. 31st : "Another candidate for the hardest thrower in the 2020 class, Boyle easily sits in the 96-99 mph range and has been up as high as 102. Those are gaudy velocity numbers for an amateur,—even in 2020—and when paired with a breaking ball that has 70-grade potential, Boyle’s upside is massive."
