Jared Kelley - Prospect Profile

MLB.com - May : "Few pitchers can create as much velocity with as little effort as Kelley, who can pump 93-96 mph fastballs and reach 98 with some running action. He already owns an advanced changeup with fade and sink, and he's willing to throw it in any count. His third-best pitch at the moment is a hard slurve in the low 80s that lacks consistency but should develop into at least a solid offering."

Carlos Collazo - Baseball America - May 13th: "The biggest question with Kelley entering the spring was in regard to his breaking ball. Over the summer he showed a slider in the low 80s, sometimes-slurvy slider. It was inconsistent and far from the wipeout projection that teams would like to see out of the top high school pitcher in the class."

Ian Smith - Prospect 365 - Apr. 26th: "A physical 6-foot-3 presence on the mound brings the fire out of his right arm, commonly sitting 96-99 with the fastball as an 18-year-old. The feel and command on the four seam is advanced for his age, and Kelley uses a plus changeup that sits 82-84 to keep hitters uncomfortable at the plate."
