Dillon Dingler
Ht/Wt: 6' 3"/210 lbs
Position: C
Team: Ohio State

Dillon Dingler - Prospect Profile

MLB.com - May : "His receiving also continues to improve and he shows more athleticism and mobility than most backstops. While Dingler batted just .267/.362/.396 in his first two college seasons, he controls the strike zone well and has plus raw power, so he should be able to hold his own as a right-handed hitter."

Carlos Collazo - Baseball America - May 13th: "A natural leader and a captain for the Buckeyes, Dingler has big league arm strength, and over 115 total games with Ohio State threw out 21 of the 42 (50 percent) runners who attempted to steal against him. He has a strong, 6-foot-3, 222-pound frame that would be durable enough to handle the grind of the position, and he’s more athletic than most backstops with that sort of size."

Kiley McDaniel - ESPN - May 13th: "Dingler got into the first two rounds with a strong fall after not playing last summer and, depending on when scouts saw him this spring, has looked like a high first-round pick and the best catcher in the draft."

Carlos Collazo - Baseball America - Jan. 31st : "He has more raw power than game power at the moment, but he has massive arm strength and his athleticism is such that he played center field for the Buckeyes before becoming the team’s everyday catcher."
