Cade Cavalli - Prospect Profile

MLB.com - May : "While Cavalli has the upside of a frontline starter, he comes with concerns. Though he has a strong 6-foot-4 frame and clean mechanics, he doesn't have much track record of staying healthy or throwing strikes. His lack of command and deception also means that his premium stuff gets hit harder than it should."

Carlos Collazo - Baseball America - May 13th: "Cavalli throws everything out of a picturesque arm action and delivery as well. While the stuff, delivery and frame are all easy check marks, there are a few question marks. Perhaps because of how clean Cavalli’s operation is, hitters tend to square up his fastball more than the velocity would suggest."

Kiley McDaniel - ESPN - May 13th: "Cavalli is a 6-foot-4 athlete who is also a solid first baseman, he has a clean delivery and two pitches that grade anywhere from 60 to 70 in his mid-90s heater and power curveball."

Dan Zielinki - Baseball Prospect Journal - Mar. 22nd: "Cade Cavalli thrived as Oklahoma’s ace last season, despite missing three weeks with a stress reaction in his right arm. He believes the injury was related to poor mechanics, which he’s cleaned up this offseason."

Keith Law - The Athletic - Mar. 16th: "Cavalli was a two-way player his first two years in Norman but has focused almost exclusively on pitching this spring, with a plus fastball and slider that’s among the best in the draft."

Athlon Sports - Mar. 10th: "Cavalli isn’t a finished product, but he already has an MLB body and MLB stuff, with an 95-97 mph fastball and a 87-90 mph hard slider."
